Holburne Park is new neighbourhood set in a secluded location on Warminster Road on a former Ministry of Defence site, just a short stroll from the historic Bath City Centre. This prestigious development has been designed by the leading classical architect Robert Adam, his firm is well-known for classical designs including the acclaimed Duchy of Cornwall’s Poundbury in Dorset. Holburne Park combines classical architecture with modern living and is the only development of its kind in Bath.
Holburne Park is being built using Bath Stone from Lovell Stone Groups Hartham Park Bath Stone quarry, located in Corsham. It is a medium / fine grained, high quality limestone from the Jurassic period and is a true ground stone which weathers beautifully; especially when stonework is detailed.
The Holburne development will consist of nearly 200 new residences; ranging from two, three, four and five bedroom homes and one-bedroom apartments in three large mansion blocks. The project will take several years to complete and is being built in phases; Phase 1 and Phase 2 are completed and three further phases are under construction and will complete the grand project with a further 92 properties. So far we have supplied approximately 1,500 m3 of Hartham Park block stone.
Our Hartham Park Bath Stone underground quarry, located at Corsham, is the oldest Bath Stone Quarry that is still operational today. Hartham Park is one of the stones that was used to build the beautiful ancient city of Bath and is one of the most iconic stones in the UK.
