We supply our British Stone to a wide range of projects, from fireplaces to public realm paving schemes, but sometimes we get the opportunity to work on something really special, utilising all our expertise and production capabilities, and this Manor House was one such project.
Following years of neglect this Grade II listed country Manor House had fallen into a state of disrepair. The new owners instructed Greenway Architects to design a grand family home; restoring and reinstating lost period details, whilst adding accommodation and modern features.Traditional building materials were carefully selected for this unique project and Portland Stone was chosen for the internal architectural masonry and flooring. It's a beautiful British Stone which lends itself to contemporary schemes and brings a cohesive flow to the entire design.

The subterranean extension to the existing Manor House provided an 18 metre swimming pool, spa and entertaining space. The swimming pool featured rebated verticle cladding panels in Portland Basebed. Portland Stone is an iconic creamy/white fine-grained premium quality limestone and is a durable stone weathers well and is perfect for ashlar walls and intricate stonework.

Elegant and beautiful cantilevered Portland Stone staircases feature in the Manor House.
We supplied our British Stone to RW Armstrong, a traditional building company, who specialise in the renovation and refurbishment of country properties. Their experts fixed the stone on-site.
